Chavivim Celebrates Kvias Mezuzah for New Spring Valley Headquarters
Rockland Chavivim marked the kvias mezuzah for its new headquarters on John Street in Spring Valley on Thursday night, January 19 — formally opening the office that will anchor the division's dispatch and coordination work across Rockland County.
A Permanent Home for the Division
The new John Street office is intended to serve as the volunteer organization's full-time headquarters: a permanent base for dispatch, equipment, and the day-to-day operations that keep Chavivim of Rockland on call for the community.
The Kvias Mezuzah
Rabbi Shimon Avrum Indig, Chavivim's Rav, affixed the mezuzah for the new office. Volunteers, leadership, and community members were on hand for the celebration.
A Reminder of the Mission
Speaking at the event, Chavivim coordinator David Friedman put the work back at the center: "We are here for the community. Anytime, for any need, we are here to assist in any way we can."
Chavivim of Rockland is a volunteer-driven, charitable organization dedicated to assisting residents of Rockland County in moments of need.
