A Mistaken Thief and a Forgotten Bike

A bike had been chained to the gate of Toshnad shul on Howard Drive for about a year, gathering rust while the owner had forgotten where it was parked.

Rockland Chavivim got a call that someone was breaking the chain. Reviewing the footage, members realized the person was a shul staffer following the shamash's instructions to move the bike.

Contact information on the bike led the staff member to the owner's family. The mother confirmed her son had left it there a year earlier.
