Chavivim Step In After Painters Allegedly Loot Home

Chavivim volunteers responded Sunday after a family reported that painters working in their home had taken several belongings after completing the job.

When confronted by volunteers, the painters acknowledged taking some items but disputed having all of the missing belongings. Chavivim contacted Ramapo Police to facilitate recovery.

After items were returned, law enforcement determined the situation warranted criminal investigation and the individual was taken into custody.
