Chavivim Launches Shabbos Services
Chavivim of Monsey is beginning Shabbos service this week, with several non-emergency tasks carried out by a non-Jew. This is in addition to the division's existing 24/6 service to the wider Rockland community.
Services include non-emergency transfers, scheduled appointment transfers, deliveries (such as medications or food for patients), and bringing discharged patients home.
These services are approved and overseen by Chavivim's Rabbinical board. The organization advises asking your own posek in each particular situation before using a service, even when a non-Jew is performing it.
