Ahead of the summer travel season, Rockland Chavivim set up in the parking lot of The Marketplace in Spring Valley on Sunday, June 14 for a free Vehicle Safety Inspection — the kind of quick, preventive check that keeps a family off the shoulder of a highway weeks down the road.
From 3:00 to 7:00 PM, members worked a steady line of cars under the tents: checking coolant and oil levels, tire pressure and condition, and lights; topping off washer fluid; and making sure registration and insurance were in order. The message was simple — get inspected, not stranded.
The event ran alongside event partner ZoomDoc and a roster of local sponsors, with prizes for the kids and the new Chavivim membership cards on hand.

Orange County Had Rockland's Back
With so much of the division tied up running the lot, a thank-you is owed to the Orange County division, which sent units — including the KJ-501 fly car — into Rockland to cover live calls so no one went unanswered while the inspection was underway. One network, divisions covering for each other.
